  Welcome to Hindsight 2020!  For this series we will be taking a look at Canada's past fighter purchases and asking a simple question:  "Did we make the right decision?"   Welcome back to Best Fighter for Canada! As the year 2020 (thankfully) comes to a close we can finally see some light at the end of the tunnel.  Three vendors have submitted their bids to replace the RCAF's aging fleet of CF-18s.  The decision in now in the (hopefully capable hands) of those government officials tasked with choice.  If things go as planned (they rarely do) we should have an answer by early 2022.   Rather than simply wait, I thought now would be a good time to examine Canada's past fighter purchases.  Doing so, we will ask a simple question:   Did we make the right decision?
